I've had problems with anxiety and depression before, luckily my doctor didn't prescribe antidepressants in the form of pills, but in the form of exercise! She told me to train at least 6 times a week and with high intensity. I'm forever grateful for her advice because it helped me tremendously. It wasn't gone instantly, but my mental state was improving every week.

This won't be a direct solution for everyone, but it won't hurt to try either. 

Hiit and supersets will up the intensity of your workouts for sure, also doing cardio in any form will help. I started kickboxing which exhausted me in a good way. It stopped me from overthinking and gave me a satisfied feeling afterwards.

If you are dealing with depression or anxiety, don't be afraid to ask for help. You're not alone! Just talking about it with someone you trust will help you.
