I tried being vegan for 6 weeks straight at the beginning of this year (2018) It was way easier than I thought it would be. Besides dutch cheese and eggs I didn't miss anything. I decided to continue living as a vegetarian; no meat, no fish and way less diary than before. I use almond or coconut milk instead of regular milk. I eat vegan protein bars and use vegan protein powder to hit my protein targets.
I supplement with creatine, bcaa's, omegas and multivitamins. Because thats what you usually get from meat and fish.
I haven't lost any weight and I feel as strong as I was before my vegetarian adventure. Nowadays there are so many good meat replacements, it's super fun to improvise with new recipes and ingredients.
If I can do it, you can do it too. I would eat almost 2 pounds of meat every day religiously, It felt unethical and unhealthy thats why I choose to become vegetarian.
Almost a year later, I can't imagine eating meat anymore. The thought of it discusses me.
See you at my next blog
