You vs you?

Stop repeating what other people say without thinking about it first.

Is that a line that losers use after they’ve suffered defeat? 

For me its never you vs you, if that were the case I wouldn't be where I am now.

Work until your idols become your competition.

Before I started working in the fitness industry I’d never heard of this ‘you vs you’ phenomenon. I played basketball my whole life, it was you against another team and if you lost, you went back to the drawing board and messed them up the next time you faced off.

Luck...

When I see someone else succeed, do I say its luck? No.. i tell myself that person outworked me, out hustled me, was smarter or more dedicated. When I was younger I looked up to NBA players, I never reached that level. Do I tell myself they we’re lucky? No I tell myself I should’ve put in more work or that I’m simply not good enough and 

I choose the wrong path. By telling someone he/she is lucky you’re taking away their shine and forget the effort they put in. 

Winning money playing roulette is luck...working your ass off and...

Use a program for gaining! Just eating more than you do usually isn’t going to cut it! Strangely enough people stick to a program when they shred, but have no clue what they eat when they’re trying to gain muscle...It’s just as important to stick to a diet when you’re bulking.

It used to be a no no, but I see more and more people jumping on the 7 day split band wagon. A couple years back when I started doing a 'no-rest' program, people told me it was unhealthy, that it causes injuries and had no benefits. I'm still convinced that a 7 day split gets you the best results,
